The course provides a mathematical model to the physical world and applies algebraic concepts to geometric situations. Topics include logic, angles, lines, planes, congruent and similar polygons, circles, basic geometric constructions, perimeter, area, volume, transformations, and coordinate geometry. |
Geometry Pre-AP is designed for students with high academic interest and a strong work ethic. In addition to the prescribed curriculum for geometry, this course is designed to address hgih level thinking and problem solving skills. emphasis is placed on formal proofs using deductive and inductive reasoning. Students who wish to take avanced placement math exams during their senior year should consider this course. |
