Pieper High School Welcomes First Athletic Coordinator and Head Football Coach

Jan. 29, 2021 - The Comal Independent School District is proud to welcome Nick Rogers as its newest athletic coordinator and head football coach. Rogers will join the Pieper High School (PHS) faculty, leading the Warriors this fall.

Rogers comes to PHS from Cedar Park High School in the Leander Independent School District where he was the offensive coordinator and quarterback coach for the last five years. He has taught physical education, health and AVID as well.

“We are excited to have Coach Rogers join our faculty at Pieper,” says Jaime Alvarez-Calderon, principal of PHS. “He brings a vision of building athletic programs from the ground up, focusing on a ‘One family, One team’ philosophy.”

During his 10 years of coaching, Rogers has helped lead his teams to a state championship title, five district championship titles and has maintained a career record of 71 wins and 10 loses.

He and his wife, Anna, have two young daughters, Landry, 7, and Leighton, 3.

“We are extremely excited about being a part of the Pieper community and raising our daughters there,” says Rogers. “Serving as a head coach has been a lifelong dream, and to get to do it in a community where we can raise our family is the perfect opportunity.

“I look forward to working with everyone from the administrators and teachers to the students and parents to establish and build a culture based on core values that we agree on. We are all in this together, and we get to cast our vision together.”
