I am beginning my 19th year in education and my second year as the principal of Canyon High School. I was born and raised in Richardson, Texas. I received my undergraduate degree from Abilene Christian University and my master's degree in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University. I have been married to my wife, Emily, for 14 years and we have two children, Keaton, 8, and Adelyn, 7. As educators, we have one of the most important jobs in the world, and I am honored to work with the students, staff and community of Canyon High School. Let’s make it a great year together! Mark Oberholtzer - Assistant Principal (A-E)
I am starting my 19th year in education, and my fourth year at Canyon High School. I was born in Fort Myers, Florida and graduated from LaMarque High School. I have a bachelor's degree from McMurry University and master's degree in education from Lamar University. My wife and I have been married for 19 years and have two beautiful children, Maddie and Savanna. Maddie is 13-years-old in the 8th grade at Churchill MS and Savanna is 10-years-old and in the fifth grade at Hoffman Lane ES. I am looking forward to having another great year at Canyon. This will be the beginning of my 22nd year in Comal ISD. The majority of my teaching career was spent as the Special Education Department Head at Church Hill Middle School. I have also served as an ARD Facilitator on a few of our elementary campuses. This year will be the start of my second year as Assistant Principal at CHS. I've been married to my husband, Bill, for twenty two years.Two of our three sons have graduated from Canyon HS, and the third is starting his sophomore year here. I am beginning my 15th year in education and my third year at Canyon High School. I was born and raised in San Angelo, Texas. I earned by bachelor's degree from Angelo State University and my master's degree in education from Texas A&M University Commerce. My wife Allison and I have been married for eight years, and we have two boys, Garon, 6, and Conner, 3. My family and I love Canyon High School and this awesome community.
