Instrument Stores and Vendors
Looking for an Instrument?
RENT OR BUY?
If you are not sure if you want to buy or rent, we recommend renting. Instruments come in different sizes based on your student’s needs. If they are still growing, renting is the best way to go!
WHERE?
There are many stores with good rental programs. Below you can find a list of different stores you can go for your instrument needs!
WHAT TO AVOID
Avoid buying from pawn shops, FB Marketplace, and other online stores (Amazon, etc.). The instruments may not always be of good quality or can be a “V.S.O”.
“V.S.O”?
Violin Shaped Object. That means it is not an actual instrument, just a toy. Another thing to watch out for are the different colored instruments. They are so pretty, but unfortunately, those are toys as well and will not work for class.

We strongly encourage renting your own instrument from a local shop for the school year! This is a guide to help you get started.
