Erika Sanchez

Hi! I’m Erika Sanchez, and I’m thrilled to be starting my first year at Canyon High School as the Behavior Teacher in the C.O.R.E. program. This is my 14th year in education, so I’ve pretty much seen it all—I have taken off the last 4 years to start a family business and homeschool our son... but I am back! 

I am a 2005 graduate of Texas Tech University (red and black are two of my favorite colors... CLEARLY) and my family and I are die-hard Red Raider fans—football, baseball, basketball… if it’s got “Texas Tech” on it, we’re cheering (sometimes loudly). We’re also an adventurous crew: hiking, skiing, road-tripping, beaching, floating, eating—basically, if it ends in -ing OR there is live music, we’re probably doing it. When I’m not at school, I’m likely at a ball-field, golf course, or lake/ocean, watching my son play baseball, golf, run, hunt, or fish—thankfully not usually all in one weekend.

I am a resident of New Braunfels and believe we live in Heaven on Earth, where I enjoy the community, the river, food, music and the occasional attempt to relax.
