Grateful Dads

The mission of the Grateful Dads is to be an Active, Visible, and Positive male role model within Canyon High School and the community.

  • Model and teach our CHS students to make eye contact and respond with a warm smile and a "Good Morning."
  • Allows students to see the caring nature and male support of our community as they enter school.

Devote 1 Friday or more a month during a school year to greet the students of CHS from 8:15 – 8:55 at designated school entrances.

8:00-8:15     Initially upon entering the campus, please sign-in at the Front Office and get your volunteer badge. The Grateful Dads Coordinator or a campus representative will be there to greet you.  You will pick up your t-shirt and be assigned an area of the school to meet students.

8:15-8:55     Meet and greet the students entering the school from your assigned station. Be creative but most importantly have fun!!

8:55             Go to the Front Office and sign out.  Then head out for the rest of your day!

Thanks for starting your day off with the Cougars!
